Visiting Shaun and Jenni

On August 6, 2010 we flew to Fort Collins to visit Jenni and Shaun. We had so much fun. One day we went to a lake high in the mountains near Estes Park and walked around this beautiful lake. I think it was called Lily Lake. We went to church with them, we had the opportunity to stay with the kids overnight while Jenni and Shaun got away for there anniversary. We hiked around a lake that is close to their home and got caught in a rain storm complete with hail. We ended our visit by going to the Denver zoo. We had so much fun relaxing and enjoying Emmerson and Weston. Thanks to all our children for allowing us to participate in the lives of your children. We are so proud of all of you.

Pride cometh before the fall

We had such a wonderful trip to Fort Collins and Salt Lake City this August. On Sunday the 15th while walking to church with Chris and John Norman(in my cute wedge sandles), I twisted my knee and I fell gracefully in the middle of the road. I have recently been walking a lot and trying to get into shape, I was planning to ride my bike with the sisters in our ward along the Chehalis-Western trail for 27 miles, I was also feeling smug because I haven't hurt my knee for 9 years. I am now once again humbled and recovering as quickly as I can. The hardest thing for me is that I am unable to drive.......enough said.

Our Chinese students arrived as our grandchildren left

We have been blessed to have 4 wonderful graduate students from Shenzhen University with us for almost a month. We will be sad to see them leave on August 3rd.

Christian, Nate, Stuart and Andy Come for a visit.

We went to the Hands on Children's Museum one day.
This is the coolest water feature where you can dam things up and float toys down the river. We played in the water for a long time.

It was so much fun to have the cousins together.

Stuart wants a beagle. He found this stuffed one in the play veterinarian office and treated it like it was real.

4th of July 2010

We have had a very busy July. We brought Christian and Nate back to Washington with us when we left Arizona. Kami and Ian dropped Andy and Stuart off and the cousins had a great time together. We celebrate the 4th of July together.

Christian loved the bottle rockets

Andy and Stuart were not so sure about the noise

Grandpa is in heaven. He build some launchers for the bottle rockets.
Alex and Grandpa Acheson consulted..."Is this safe?"

Great Grandpa Acheson is always happy to have his great grandchildren visit!
